GCISD began learning the Tango in 2018 by completing dyslexia evaluations through a special education Full Individual Evaluation. Forming partnerships between the special education leadership team and the dyslexia lead were foundational. GCISD continues to refine our “Tango” in 21-22. Presenters will share how they worked through the “push and pull” of dance partners while upholding the best practices for students. Lessons learned and practical application “dance steps” (ideas) will be shared to help other districts implement the 2021 Dyslexia Handbook.
